History

Stako was founded in 1967 by Michał Staniuk. From the beginning the main activity was production of tanks of various sizes and capacities for the storage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas.

We co-operated with German IFA in production of lorry and trailer tanks. Then, in the 80’s we used to build aluminum storage tanks for chemical industry.

In 1989 the name was changed to "STAKO" and the company gained its subsequent experience by producing car parts for the mass production of Fiat passenger vehicles as well as various agriculture equipment.

In 1990 we began producing pressure vessels. Our current position of the industry leader is proven by a great variety of products - more than 1,000 different models of tanks. We employ over 400 people.

In 2011, Stako was acquired by Worthington Cylinders, the world's leading global manufacturer of pressure cylinders and related products. Worthington offers a broad line of Type I, II, III and IV alternative fuel cylinders for CNG and LPG, as well as products for LPG, refrigerant, oxygen and industrial gases.
